Make a Planned Gift

Leaving a planned gift to HOPE through a charitable bequest in your will or living trust is an outstanding way to combine your desire to support our mission and your overall financial, tax, and estate planning goals.

Bequests are contributions that are commonly donated through a will or estate plan and can include stocks, bonds, jewelry, real estate or cash that is granted once the donor has passed away. Request that your estate planning attorney include a provision in your will or living trust that leaves a lasting gift to HOPE, Inc.

PLEDGE A PLANNED GIFT AND BE A PART OF OUR LEGACY SOCIETY
Upon pledging a bequest, HOPE donors are automatically enrolled in our Legacy Society. Members are provided special recognition throughout the year, unique naming opportunities, and invitations to exclusive HOPE activities and events. Make your pledge and join today by filling out this quick online form.

BEQUEST BENEFITS

A charitable bequest is an easy way for you to help us create stable, affordable homes for people with developmental disabilities. Here are some of the many benefits of bequest giving:

  • It costs you nothing today

  • A bequest is free of federal and estate tax

  • Your bequest can be changed later

  • You can still benefit your heirs with specific gifts

  • You can leave a legacy through a bequest

HOW TO MAKE A BEQUEST

A bequest is one of the easiest gifts you can make to significantly impact our work. Your estate planning attorney can include a provision in your will that leaves a lasting gift to HOPE, Inc., such as the following:

I give ($) (%) of my estate to HOPE, Inc., 1155 E San Antonio Dr, Long Beach, CA 90807 to provide funding for the ongoing activities of their mission as determined by the board of directors (or for the purpose of _________________). Tax 33-0618316

Your bequest could be a gift of specific assets (such as a vehicle, artwork or coin collection), a dollar amount (e.g., $1,000, $10,000, or $100,000), or a percentage of your estate (e.g., 3%, 25%, or 50%). A bequest could also be made from the residue of your estate or what is left after all gifts have been made to your heirs.
