Our annual golf tournament is around the corner as we gear up for another successful fundraising event. HOPE's 14th Annual Charity Golf Classic will be held again at the gorgeous Old Ranch Country Club in Seal Beach on Monday, June 27th, 2022. All proceeds will go towards HOPE’s mission of increasing the number of affordable housing options that we can provide. We currently operate 98 locations that contain 150 units of housing to serve 358 people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) in 18 unique cities. Registration for sponsorships is now open for this exciting day. Attendees will experience pristine green fairways and friendly competition, followed by a fabulous evening dinner and award ceremony to honor our most esteemed guests and colleagues. Additionally, HOPE has brought on board the acclaimed event coordination firm, Charity Matterz, to help us manage this premier fundraising tournament and dinner. Together, our teams are preparing to host an unforgettable golf tournament event as public health guidelines allow for larger event gatherings. We will continue to adjust and pivot event logistics as health guidelines require.

The need for creating affordable, healthy housing has only increased this past year. It is a clear reminder that there is nothing more important than our commitment to those we serve. This year, we launched our exciting new Housing+ Services program to support current and prospective residents in finding long-term housing options, including assisting individuals with maintaining rental vouchers. It is a win for our residents to have the freedom of choice and live in the cities they desire. Additionally, HOPE plans to purchase more affordable housing throughout Los Angeles County and develop homes that prioritize the health and safety of our residents. More importantly, we view ensuring that our homes remain a positive contributor to resident health as an essential element of our mission. As HOPE resident Maria says, “I am the independent person I always wanted to be. After experiencing a pandemic, I still can’t believe I am here now, safe and living in my own home!” Our residents believe that living in their HOPE home has aided them in maintaining a positive quality of life.

Our success can is only possible with the support of our partners and sponsors. The objective of our Charity Golf Classic remains the same: empower HOPE's worthy cause. Our tournament theme "Health Through Housing” kicks us off in recognition that having a safe and healthy home maintains resident health & well-being. HOPE's mission has become even more essential. Financial contributions to this Charity Golf Classic will secure our current and future homes to be safe, healthy, and accessible for those we serve.

On June 27th, local sponsors and participants will support HOPE to raise more than $300k as our goal.
